IBS is a complex condition, with many possible triggers, but the most obvious place most IBS sufferers start is by restricting their diet. This can become a slippery slope of restriction if you’re not careful, and before you know it, food fear has set in.
This is exactly what happened to my client, Gabrielle. Let me tell you her story…
When she came to me back in January 2022, Gabrielle was struggling with some of your fairly typical IBS symptoms – diarrhoea, bloating, gas and pain – as well as constant hunger.
She also had a pretty shaky relationship with food after years of restriction and food fear. She told me:
“It would mean everything to get control back of my life and not worry about feeling sick everyday.”
